Local football team, Las Vegas Cobras, was nationally recogized for one of the funniest moments in sports. Coach Mike was interviewed last weekend on Beyond the Goal with DJ Rusty the Ref and Vince commenting on the sparks it made in the media. Appearing and mentioned on ESPN, FOX, Talk Soup and more, within one week of the video being posted on YouTube it generated over 500,000 views.
“I think the play was very funny. I just held my head down and laughed, I didn’t want to embarass the guy. He was embarassed enough because some of the players teased him a lot. Me and the other coach laughed, but we laughed more at how it went worldwide. It was the biggest mistake that turned into a blessing,” Coach Mike of the Las Vegas Cobras
“Coach Mike has a community event that he is putting together for Dec. 6th, at his football field, that includes visitors donating can food or a toy for those who could not afford things towards Christmas. Coach Mike in from New Orleans as I am, and Vince my co host also lived in New Orleans a while. Talk came up about crawfish and Rejj added about family he had in Louisiana. The discussion turned to a crawfish party at the station on Dec 6th with coach Mike and Xradio hosting a party for people to donate to the community project that Mike was working on – it took a life of it’s own,” Rusty the Ref.
